ALUMNI URGED TO ATTEND LAW DAY!
Another Milestone Says
A ssocia tion Presiden t
In a special letter to The Stetson
Lawyer, Justice E. Harris Drew, President of the Stetson Lawyers Association, writes, "Law Day, Saturday,
December 10, is another milestone and
an important one in the history of the
College. It is the second of what we
hope will be an annual event."
Expressing the hope that all alumni
of the University, and especially those
of the College of Law, with their
wives and children, will visit the St.
St. Petersburg campus for the occasion, the Justice succinctly states:
"If they have not already inspected
the campus, they will swell with pride
when they do so.
"If they have been back on previous occasions, they will be pleased
by the developments which have
taken place since they were last there.
"In a beautiful setting in the most
dynamic area of all the Americas, the
College of Law can be as great and
enduring as we of the Association
want it to be."
The Justice's letter leaves little more
to be said. In this day and age of
high pressure working and living, it
is good to get away from the cares
of the office for a day or two. Won't
you come back, Alumni, and enjoy
an interesting program? Law Day is
Your Day!!
Three officers of the Stetson Lawyers Association discuss Law Day plans with the Dean following
the annual meeting of the Association at the College of Law, October 21. LEFT TO RIGHT: Curtis A.
Golden, '57, Area Director for Northwest Florida; Justice E. Harris Drew, '23, President; Wallace
Storey, '59, Secretary; and Dean Harold I. Sebring.
President and Dean Say "Welcome"
We hope you have circled Saturday,
December 10, on your calendar and
marked it Stetson Law Day. For this
is the day when we are looking forward to greeting you again on the
always lovely College of Law Campus.
It is a day set aside for you to renew
old friendships and make new ones —
a day for you to take stock of your
Alma Mater's progress, her exciting
program, and her needs. But most of
all, it is a day for you to enjoy yourselves. Plan now to bring your family
and guests to St. Petersburg and join
your former classmates in the fun.
