OMGUS Military Tribunal Case One, OMT-I-D-137. Palace of Justice, Nurnberg, Germany. Photograph narrative: Rudolf Brandt, personal administrative officer to Himmler, was the only one of 23 defendants in the medical case who admitted any guilt for participation in cruel medical experiments on concentration camp inmates. Brandt, shown as he made his final plea to Tribunal #1 July 19, 1947, admitted that he passed along Himmler's orders which resulted in cruelties to human beings, but he argued that he was not so guilty as charged.
