Description
Cup and saucer found in the residence of the U. S. Ambassador to Poland in 1990. Returned to the Stetson family in 2015. The china belonged to John B. Stetson, Jr. who was appointed Minister to Poland in 1925. Inscription on the bottom of both the cup and saucer read 'John B. Stetson, Jr., Minister, Warsaw, Poland' and are numbered. The cup and saucer somehow survived World War II and the decades after. Includes a card to John B. Stetson IV from Thomas Winston Simons, Jr. who returned the china to the family.
