Description
Round bronze World War I Victory Medal attached to rainbox colored ribbon and France battle bar pin. Medal awarded for service between 1917 to 1920. The front of the medal features a winged Victory image. The back has the inscription, 'The Great War for Civilization.' Also on the back are listed the WWI Allied countries: France, Italy, Serbia, Japan, Montenegro, Russia, Greece, Great Britain, Belgium, Brazil, Portugal, Rumania (spelling at the time), China. In a box that is not original to the medal. Awarded to John B. Stetson, Jr., who served in the military during WWI, primarily in France.
