Diet The Diet finished yesterday the debates on the budget and
will start today to vote on the corrections and amendments -proposed by the deputies. There are 400 of them as a result the

During the debates on the Ministry of Justice Mr.Trompceynski
pron unced a very strong speech stating that if the national Democrats
did not continue their resistance against the coup in May 1926 it was
because they understood the danger of the Germans in case the civil
war would continue - on the other they were promised in written 1>J
Mr.Bartel that the Government ..ill comply with the Laws. Mr.Tramczynski
stated that the Government did not keep its promise by neglecting
the former Diet and Senate,by issuing the press decree against the will
of the Houses,by appointing the Chief Election Commissioner againfc
the will of the Supreme Court,by permitting a number of crimes such
as the Mostowicz,Zdziechowski,Howaczynski and Zagorski cases. Mr,
Trompczynsri mentioned several new details saying that he quotes
them urposely to give a chance to newspapers to publish them without
fear of suppression.
Minister Czechowicz spoke during the debates on the Ministry
of Finance, He spoke of the danger of the unfavorable trade balance
and the necessity of restituting the capital levy in order to secure
additional funds for increasing the salaries of employes.
The Minister also spoke against the consumptive foreign loans
admitting however that the very bad conditions "Of Polish cities
make him tolerate their consumptive loans.
