Diet, The Third reading of the Budget takes place this morning.
The Parliament ry Debts Committee decided yesterday to authorize the
Government to issu the internal loan of 50 million zloty of 4^ With
premiums to be used for Constructions in spite of the protest of
deputy Trampczynski.
The Regulations Committee of the Diet decided to ask the Tribunal
to stop the suing of deputies Witos,Sosinski, Dubois,Ledwoch and
Pluta in connection with their activities during the election.
The Committee was debatting on the matter of two White Russian
deputies tvhom the Diet decided at first not to defend from
legal persecution - then changed its mind and decided to take up
the matter again. Mr. Rataj stated that the Diet cannot go back on
its decisions. This point of view was shared by the majority of the
Committee with the exception of Socialists and minority deputies.
Sir Lindsay, British imbas.ador to Berlin was in Warsaw on the
invit ation of Mr.Erskine and had a conference with Marshal Pilsudski,
Fiscal Officials in Volhynia ware found guilty of embezzelments and
several of them got arrested.
Danzig The strong protests on the part of the Polish press in
connection with the unfairness of Danzig towards Poland were followed
by a revision of *®noig*a decision which promised to maintain the old
system of passing free the Polish tug-boats with coal from Tozew to
the Baltic and by permitting Polish pleasure boats to enter Zoppot.
The Internati nal Peace Conference will be held in Warsaw between tha
25- and 29th of June. America will be represented by Miss Cadbury of
the Peace Committee of Dhiladelahia,Mr.Laury of the Council to prevent
War.Washnigton, Mr. Jenkins MacMmteter and Miss Balchfrom Boston
