Diet_, The illness of the Marshal is already fhlt in the Diet which
seems to fear much less the Premier. The Budget Committee's work
has been interrupted yesterday by the Socialists and Emancipation
deputies demanding to take up the matter f the election abusals
during the debates on the budgte of the Ministry of the Interior,
The Chairman of the Committee protested and said that the Committee
has little time so only business debates could be held and all
political talks should be avoided. The Socialists and Mancipation
deputi s started to quarrel and after several hours of fruitless
debates the meeting was postponed until today.
The joint me ting of the Legal and Constitution Committees
decided with 19 votes against IS that the Presidential decrees
could be cancelled by normal voting of the Diet , Prinze Radziwill
defended the Government"s point of vie?/ with a Very clever and witty
apooch \»/hich got a lot of admiration.
Marshal Pilsudski feels better and is able to travel in motocars.
He will robably leave very soon for Sulejowek. After a rest on
the co ntry it will be decided whether he will pass a treatment
abroad or in one of the Polish health resorts. He transfered all
State afiiairs to Mr .Bart el, only foreign affairs,war matters and
matters relating to the Diet will be daily referred to him by
col.Slawek and gen,Sosnkowski,
Lithuania Shera were rumours last night that the Lithuanian
students have held an anti-Polish manifestation in Kowno. These
rumours were denied later0 The news from Kowno states that on the
eoatrary the relations between the two delegations are much
better than expected,
Germany The negotiations with Germany came, to a deadlock. It is
not likely that they will be resumed in the n ar future.
USA The recent speeches of Mr.Stresemann and Shurman in
Heidelberg are still commented on by the Polish press. The Gazeta
Warszawsak speaks of the German danger man fested by the speech of
Mr.Stresemann while the Kurjer Polski is ve y pleased that the
repudiation of the Shurman's speech by Mr.Kellogg will diminish
the Germai aggressiveness.
