Diet. The debates of the Budget Comeiittee continue to pass in an op-oosition
atmosphere. On Saturday night during the voting on the Budget of the
Ministry ofthe Interior the Committee cancelled, the Special Fund of
the Minister to be spent according to his discretion and also the
appropriation for the police. Colonel Slawek.the r ferse of the Budget
for the Minsit y of the Inferior felt offended by the result of the
voting and resign as referee. A conference between vice-premier Bartel
and Minister Skladfcowski took place after the voting to debate the
attitude to take in view of difficulties raised by the Diet. It is believed
that the sum cancelled by the Com ittee for the maintain ng f the Police
will be easily restituted as concerns the Special Fund - the Diet seems
very definite to cancel it in connection with the Diet's feeling that
the Ministry did some cheating during the election.
Marshal Pilsudski took his first outing on Saturday walking through
the streets of Warsaw, He had a conference of one hour and a half on
Saturday.
Lithuania The Polish delegation to Kowno got back to Warsaw last night.
The result s of the confe emce are null as the Lithuanians rejected toe
Polish proposal concerning,the Pact of Non-Aggression without making
any counterproposal. At the moment the delegation aaa leaving Kovno
a gang of young people started an anti-Polish demonstrat on whistling and
shouting. The demonstration,according to the feeling of the Polish
delgation,seemed to be staged.

punishment will be changed into life imprisonment,lif impris nment into
15 years of prison and so on.
