Budget. The Diet debated yesterday all day long on the budget.
With the axoeptlon of deputy Erzyzanowski of the Government party
who spoke cone rning the budget - all debates had purely a
political character. The radical factions insisted on the
necessity to the return of a purely pariiamentary system of
ruling from the present, dicatorship. The radical parties stated

for them and that they have the right of participating in the
government. Deputy Slavek spoke in the name of the Government
and stated that the main object of the Government s group will be
to propose a change of the Constitution he did not Precise however
what will be the proposed change,he onlj^ said that he does not
mean to propose a change of the electoral law. The speech of
John Dnabski.who in the previous Diet was ready to become a
government leader - pron unced yesterday an opposition speech - he
stated that the Government speaks a It of the increase of the
P lish prestige - but did nothing in de.'ending the corridor where
all large German .estates should hare been parcelled and colonized
by Polish peasants. He said that the abuses during the election
diminished the popularity of Pilsudski. The speech of Dambskl
caused quite a storm on the benches of the Government group and
the Glod Prawdy of the day writes a very severe critic of the
person of Damteki. The Ukrainian leader - Lewicki and the White
Eusoians pronounced very inst.asigent speeches. The Jews were
silent. They are fctttis so small in number and form such a uuarrelsatSB
group that they could not agree as yet whom to ssiect for
chairman of their group. The Diet will probably finish today the
