Gentlemen:
In reply to yours of the 5th we would state that if
you can purchase the American State Reports for S3.50 per volume
it is less than^what the books cost us and it would be to your
advantage to purchase them at this price.
U.S. Reports contract price is $3.00 per volume, transportation
charges average from 30 to 35 cts and at the price quoted you
namely |3.50 transportation prepaid these is very little margin
of orofit in same; however if you so desire we will meet the quotation at ^3.30 merely for the sake of having your account on our
books. Most of our customers pay us $3.75 and $3.00 for U.S.
Reports current volumes. We estimated that we were making a
concession of at least 35 ets a volume on U.S. Future volumes of
U.S. we will deliver to you at $3.30 if you still desire us to
supply them.
Yours reso'y,
W.L.B.Co.,
