Pres. J. F. Forbes, A.M., Ph.D.,

Pear Brother:
Last year you were kind enough to furnish me with a
31st of the names of the ministerial students in your university,
which afforded me an opportunity to send then a copy of our Seminary
catalogue. The results of this effort were gratifying in many
ways, and I write to ask that you will repeat your kindness of a
year ago and secure for me a similar list. If you care to do so,
and will put the matter in the hands of setae one of the ministerial
students, i+ will answer ^r^ry purpose, I shall be pleased to
have this list at a v&ry early date, as I desire to correspond with
these brethren as to a future course in the Seminary. Please let
me assure you that I have no thought in such correspondence of
using the slightest pressure to Influence those who have not com-
1 . 1 ited their college course to abandon it for the Seminary.
firrn policy is to encourage students who have not been to college
to go to college first and then come to the Seminary, as well as
to encourage those who are in college to remain until they have
completed their coarse, and afterwards come to +he Seminary, Fe
are as firm believers here in the importance of college education
for the ministerial student as we are believers in the importance
of theological education. with very best wishes for your contin-
I
ned success, I am,
