Dear Sir:-
Unless there is particular need of my being present at the
meeting of the University trustees to be held Thursday I do not
know that I shall come down. In order to make up a quorum I would
come if specially notified. I have been away from business so much
recently that I dislike to break up the week on this account unless
my presence is essential. The hour named, 2 p.m., is such that I
can hardly expect to reach there in time should I leave here Thursday morning. The train due at DeLand at 2:05 has hardly been on
time this year, and sometimes Is from, three to four hours late. It
would therefore seen to be necessary to leave here Wednesday, and. I
could not get back without consuming the whole of Priday unless I
traveled at night, which I am unable to do. You had therefore better wire me in case I should be particularly wanted.
With regard to the original Jacksonville subscription list
in the law library matter, I am informed by the young men in the
office here that it never came to hand to their knowledge after you
last took it. It is not to be found on my desk or among my papers,
