Enclosed find express money order for $9, in payment of enclosed
bill. Please accept thanks for extending the time of payment on this
account.
I took up my new work Monday morning, and find that I have a
■verj nice position and an up-to-date employer. The office work for
all goods sold by salesmen of the Sebring Pottery Company in the Southern
States is done here, and I find enough to keep me busy most of the time.
I think I shall find it very profitable to me also, as it is an entirely new kind of business, and there come up every day new problems to
be solved. Of course I cannot yet tell what the prospects are for me,
but will write you the latter part of the summer as to whether I expect
to keep the position during the winter. As I told you before I left,
if I do come back, I desire very much to obtain some work to pay my
tuition bill.
I find this a delightful place to spend the summer. It is
rightly named Mt. Airy, and a few steps from my office I can look over
the landscape of four states* One train at noon and two in the evening
stop at the Inn for meals, and if you happen to be passing through,
would be very glad to see you. My office is on the hotel grounds.
