My dear sir:-
Your last letter carre to hand some time ago,but I did not
know what to write in reply until I could hear- further from Miss Eures
and her first idea was to give up the plan on account of her mother
who is not in perfect health,but who is now better and also has another
daughter to help her in older daughter's absence.
It was a misunderstanding that she desired to work for her books as
well as tuition,as she at that time had hopes of getting funds for
that purpose from her home folks, but it has since developed that she
can not be helped by them now,as they are not financially able to do
it in time for her needs, and as I am not now in shape to do so,much
as i would like to I have taken the method indicated in duplicate enclosed,which I certainly hope will materialize promptly,in which wvent
you will please notefy Miss Pures at once,sending her a$f$8J£$$ a ticket
to DeLand from Winter Haven,or means to buy it with, and give her the
best possible opportunity after she arrives that is in your power,which
I know full well you will be more than pleased to do.
