Dear Sir:-
Yours of ©beember 6th received and contents noted.
I received a letter from my son on Thursday 5th telling me of
one case of scarlet feaver being in the hall that he roomed in and
asking me to advise him what he should do. On receit of his letter
I went to see Mr. Haynes, who has two boys at your school to ask his
advice, failing to see him, I was told by his stnographer that Mr.
Haynes had telegraphed for his boys. I then went to see Mr. Ben-
idict and he told me that he was undecided what to do, but that his
wife had urged him to send for the boys, and he thought he would.
I decided that as long as niether his mother nor I would be able
to be with him in case he should get the feaver and being so near
the vacation, it wa3 best for him to come home. I advised him to
^jzfmY #^my get instructions from his different Proffessors, so he could
keep up with his work, which he told me he did.
I hope on account of sending for him thinking it best under the it
circumstances that he will not have any trouble when he comes back
ff<f>ii to school which will be as soon as the vacation is over, if
there is no more contagious sickness developing at the school.
Hoping this will be satisfactory, and thanking you in advance to
notify me when he should come back to school.
