Dr, j. p. Forbes,
De Land, Pla.
Dear Sir:-
I an glad to be able to announce the appearance of Dr. White's
new book entitled "The Art Of Teaching'', a copy of ^shich has already
sent you. I trust this book will be received by you in a very few
days and you will have time at once to give it your most careful consideration. I know of no book that has been looked forward to with
such interest as this book of Dr. White's. I have already made careful examination of it myself and believe I am correct in predicting
that its success will be even greater than that of his other two
books. I would appreciate an expression of opinion from you regarding
the work. I trust that in your Normal department this book may be made
a basis for your next sessions instruction. The State Superintendent
of Education of Florida has already named this book as the basis of his
examination next year, and of course it will be to the advantage of
all teachers who expect to take this examination, or later examinations,
to become acquainted with the work.
Hoping that you will introduce it, an£ that J. will hear from
you in a few days, I am,
Yours very truly,
VT€^_
