Prof. C.'B3. Rosa,
Stetson university,
Dear Sir:—
Your courteous letter of the 3d inst., to hand.
I have nevar 3^et seen, known, or heard of, a cotmtry newspaper
man who was not "hard up", so #111 not say that I should not ha>e '
used a cheek in payment of the little account of the university.
We country editors, however, get accustomed to doing withoiit
many things—and the more wo learn to do without the less we
think wo need. We shall undoubtedly need money more in August
yiian we did in June,>so that 1'ittle check coming in then will
be a'cooling shower on a warm midsummer day? We are not
worrying about it—so you needn't.
jf"we" can just catch that greased pig tomorrow, we
shall have no meat bill for July
