ANNOUNCEMENTS
Dr. Marc Lovelace, who underwent heart surgery on Friday, April 5, was
expected to come home on Thursday, April 18. He will recuperating for
several weeks at home. From: The Office of the Provost
Faculty members are reminded that senior grade rolls will be
distributed on April 26th. Predicted final grades must be entered for
each graduating Senior and Masters candidate and the rolls returned to
the Registrar's Office as soon thereafter as possible but no later
than 9 a.m. on May 3. It is important that these grades be as
accurate as possible because they will be used to determine if all
degree requirements have been completed. If after the evaluation of
final exams, a final grade differs from the predicted grade, this
office must be notified immediately on ext. 593 or 595. ADJUSTMENTS
IN FINAL GRADES CANNOT BE ACCEPTED AFTER 12 NOON, MAY 17TH.

Faculty and staff are invited to make recommendations for the 1985
Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award. This award is given to the man and
woman from the graduating senior class whose personal example and
influence throughout the campus best exemplifies the finest spiritual
qualities of humanity and high character. This award is considered
the highest recognition which the University can give to a student.
Nominations should be submitted to Dean Garth Jenkins not later than

TO ACADEMIC DEANS AND DEPARTMENT CHAIRPERSONS: The annual Academic
Honors Convocation will be held Wednesday, May 8, in the Elizabeth
Hall Auditorium. It is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. during the usual
Chapel observance hour. If you have an award for outstanding academic
achievement that your department, organization, or other interest that
you represent desires to present on this occasion, please let me know
