On April 6, the Institute for Christian Ethics is co-sponsoring with the West Volusia Memorial Hospital, a Public
Dialogue on "The Ethics of Dying: Euthanasia and Physician Assisted Suicide." The Internationally known guest
speakers will be speaking during the Encounter Program at 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. in the Elizabeth Hall
Auditorium. There will be special related workshops on Tuesday, April 5, and Thursday, April 7, in the Stetson
Room. For more information and registration on the related workshops please see the flyer which was included
in last week's edition of The Newsletter. Stetson University will be providing some assistance to faculty, staff and
students for the cost of the workshops. For faculty and staff the cost for one session (lunch or breakfast) will be
$7; both sessions $10. For students the cost for one session will be $6; both sessions $9. Please return the

REMINDER-McENIRY AWARD FOR TEACHING EXCELLENCE. Faculty are encouraged to submit nominations for
the 1994 McEniry Awards. Information and forms are being distributed through campus mail. Another opportunity
for faculty and students to submit nominations will be Wednesday, April 6, at the Stetson Kiosk. Deadline for

On Monday, April 4, Professor Deborah Denise King will be on campus interviewing for the Theatre position of
Acting and Directing. She will be available for anyone interested in talking to her between 2:00 - 2:50 p.m., in

The Stetson Forensics Society invites you to attend its annual Command Performance of competitive events in the
John E. Johns room, Elizabeth Hall, 7:00-8:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 5. From: Michael McFarland
Stetson University's Fourth Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition kicks off with a reception tonight, April 1, in the
Duncan Gallery of Art at 7:00 p.m. Twenty-three students submitted 91 entries, 65 of which were chosen for
inclusion for the final judging, which takes place just before tonight's reception. The students' work includes metal
sculpture, cartooning, quilts, photography, prints, jewelry, along with drawings, paintings, and ceramics. Nancy
Jay, a faculty member at Valencia Community College, will conduct the judging. Awards, which will be announced
during the reception, include Awards of Distinction, Awards of Merit, Honorable Mentions, Best in Show, and
Student's Choice. The exhibition which runs through April 18, and the reception are free. Faculty members have
an excellent opportunity to come out and show their support for these talented, hardworking students. Faculty
may also want to announce the show in classes so that students may come see the work of their peers. For

WOMEN'S MUD WRESTLING RETURNS TO STETSON. There will be an exhibition match on Friday, April 1, at
3:30 p.m. in the Edmunds Center. The purpose of this event is to demonstrate to the President and others the
feasibility of women's mud wrestling becoming an additional NCAA I division sport. One professor and a staff
person have volunteered to be the wrestlers. Admission is free so come on out and support your HATS!
