APPLICATIONS FOR HAND GRANTS. Faculty members are encouraged to apply for 2010 Hand Grants. Applications for
Professional Development Projects and Hand Grants for Course Enhancement are due to Department Chairs on January
19, 2010. The application can be found in the "Faculty Professional Development Opportunities" handbook which is
available online at http://www.stetson.edu/academicaffairs/profdevel.php or in hard copy from the Office of Academic
Affairs. Funds have been approved for a total of two grants of $1,500 each.

your students to write for you, briefly, in the first days of the class. Taking a mere five minutes to suss out the territory in
your classroom can yield a wealth of valuable information; see the spring term flyer

University of Toronto, who will be speaking on "Russian Cities in Film" on Thursday, March 11, 2010, at the Lynn Business
