THE FACULTY SENATE WILL MEET MONDAY, APRIL 7, 2008, in the Faculty Lounge in the Carlton Union Building.
Senators and invited guests meet for dinner at 6:00 p.m. The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. and all faculty members are
encouraged to attend.

ACADEMIC HONORS CONVOCATION will be held at noon on Friday, April 25, 2008, in Elizabeth Hall Chapel. If you
have an award for outstanding achievement that your department or organization desires to present on this occasion,
please notify the Office of Academic Affairs, Unit 8358, by 12:00 noon, Monday, April 7, following the procedures posted
online at http://www.stetson.edu/administration/academicaffairs/media/HonorsConvocation.doc The deadline for
submitting requests for cash and non-cash awards is Thursday, April 17. Award presenters are asked to sit on the east
side of the chapel and to come forward in the order in which they appear in the program. Presenters are responsible for
inviting the award recipients to attend. In the interest of time, comments should be limited to the name of the award and the
name of the recipient. So as not to diminish the prestige of any of the awards, there is to be no mention of any cash value
that might be attached to particular award.
