UNIVERSITY FACULTY MEETING CANCELLED. Please note that the University Faculty Meeting scheduled for
Monday, February 19, has been cancelled. The next Faculty Meeting is scheduled for March 18 at 4:00 p.m. in

Live in Elizabeth Hall, February 16, 7:30 p.m.--Tonight in Elizabeth Hall, five present and past music faculty will
perform works of Alessandro Scarlatti, Rameau, and Langston. Earnest Murphy is the tenor soloist; he will be
assisted by Paul Langston, piano and harpsichord, David Bjella, cello, and Routa Kroumovitch and Alvaro Gomez,
violins. The second half of the program will consist of music written by former dean and faculty member, Paul
Langston: a premiere of Tom Jasper, an aria from his opera, and Three Songs, dedicated to Murphy. Murphy wrote
words to the set of songs when the Eliot Foundation withheld permission to use the original words by T.S. Eliot.
Live in Elizabeth Hall, February 20, 7:30 p.m.-Lynn Cholka and Michael Rickman will perform sonatas for clarinet
and piano by Camille Saint-Saens and by Max Reger and Three Movements by Leo Weiner. The three works were
composed at about the same time, but they are very different in style, representing French, German, and Hungarian
national characteristics. Cholka is a member of Tres Vientos which premiered a work by Stetson composer, Kari
Juusela, at the EMMA Concert Series in St. Augustine. From: Jan Kindred
GRADE INVENTORIES. Class rolls for the grade inventory will be distributed no later than Monday, February 19.
All rolls are due in the Registrar's Office by 9:00 a.m., Friday, February 23rd, whether or not you have C- or lower
grades to report. This is your final opportunity to check the rolls and ensure that all those actually seated in your
class are listed on the rolls. If their names are not on the rolls they are not registered for that class and should not
be allowed to attend. If you have any questions please contact the Registrar's Office at ext. 7142.

Elizabeth Hall. We will have a round-table discussion on two articles from the December, 1995 issue of the
Washington Monthly, "Why We Need a Christian Left," and "What's Un-Christian About the Christian Right." If
