ANNOUNCEMENTS
THE UNIVERSITY FACULTY WILL MEET FRIDAY, APRIL 17, 2009, at 12:00 noon in the Stetson Room. A light lunch
will be served beginning at 11:45 a.m. Agenda items include a proposal for a Certificate of Community Engagement (Dean
Ballenger); the annual report on faculty compensation (John Tichenor); a report on enrollment and retention (Deborah
Thompson, John Tichenor, and Leonard Nance); a conversation on campus climate (Dean of Students Rina Tovar); and
an interim report on academic calendar recommendations (Stuart Michelson).

THE FACULTY SENATE WILL MEET MONDAY, APRIL 27, AT 6:30 P.M. at Cress Restaurant, 103 W. Indiana Avenue,
DeLand. Senators and invited guests meet for dinner at 6:00 p.m. The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. and all faculty
members are encouraged to attend. Non-Senators wishing to attend the dinner portion of the meeting, at their own cost,
