THE UNIVERSITY FACULTY WILL MEET FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 20 at 12:00 noon in the RINKER AUDITORIUM. A light
lunch will be served beginning at 11:45 a.m. The agenda includes a faculty vote to approve changes to the University
curriculum, to include specifically the three policies referenced in the minutes of the University Curriculum
Council meeting held February 12,2009. The minutes are attached elsewhere in this edition of The Newsletter.
The College of Arts & Sciences will meet immediately following the University faculty meeting.

THE FACULTY SENATE WILL MEET MONDAY, FEBRUARY 23, 2009, in the Faculty Lounge in the Carlton Union
Building. Senators and invited guests meet for dinner at 6:00 p.m. The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. and all faculty
members are encouraged to attend. Trustee Jill Jinks, chair of the Trustee Student Life committee, accompanied by Dean
of Students, Rina Tovar, will present for comment by the Senate a draft of the committee's strategic plan for Student Life,
with important implications for student quality, recruitment and retention.
MINUTES OF THE JANUARY 26, 2009 FACULTY SENATE MEETING are attached elsewhere to this edition of The
Newsletter. The Senate has scheduled a special meeting on Monday, March 9, for an open discussion with incoming
president Wendy Libby.
