CHANGE TO MAY 2007 COMMENCEMENT. After consulting with the Student Government Association and the
Faculty Senate Executive Committee and after reviewing an on-line poll of seniors, the President's Staff has concluded
that our best option for May Commencement is to hold two ceremonies in the Edmunds Center on Saturday, May 5.
The ceremony for the School of Business Administration (both graduate and undergraduate students) and for the
School of Music will be at nine o'clock Saturday morning. The ceremony for Arts & Sciences graduate and
undergraduate students will be that afternoon at two o'clock.
All graduates, their families, and faculty are invited to a brunch/luncheon from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Food will be
served in Rinker Field House and tables will also be set up under tents on Rinker Field, weather permitting. We hope
this will be a time of celebration and community for aN graduates in the class of 2007.
Separate ceremonies will allow plenty of room for family and friends to attend, and tickets will not be required. There
will be sufficient seats for students and for graduates who wish to watch friends graduate in the other ceremony.
Students receiving two degrees may choose to walk across the stage and receive the degree in either ceremony or in
both.
Graduates and families, students, and faculty are invited to our traditional Baccalaureate, Chaplin Michael Fronk
officiating, in Elizabeth Chapel at 7:00 on Friday evening.
Graduates in A&S master's and Education Specialist programs will be hooded and receive diplomas with the A&S
ceremony on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. Graduates in the MBA and MBA/JD programs will be hooded and receive degrees
at the School of Business Administration ceremony on Saturday at 9:00 a.m.
