The University Faculty will meet today, Friday, January 21, at 12:00 noon in the Stetson Room. A light
lunch will be served beginning at 11:45 a.m. Agenda items include presentations by Faculty Senate and by
the Council of Deans on their respective agendas.

APPLICATIONS FOR HAND GRANTS. Faculty applications for Hand Grants for Professional Development
Projects and Hand Grants for Course Enhancement are now being accepted. They are due to Department
Chairs on January 24, 2005. The application can be found in the "Faculty Professional Development
Opportunities" handbook, which is available in hard copy from the Office of Academic Affairs as well as
electronically on the Academic Affairs web page (www.stetson.edu/offices/academicaffairs). Traditionally,
a total of six grants of $2,000 each are awarded.

Faculty, please announce to your classes: The Center for International Education is accepting applications
for programs in France, England, Hong Kong, Spain, Russia, Mexico and Germany for fall semester 2005
and all year 05-06. We are also accepting applications for Guanajuato summer 2005. Application packages
can be picked up at the Center, located at 202 E. University Avenue, behind Health Services. The
deadline to submit your application package is Tuesday, March 1, 2005.
