THE UNIVERSITY FACULTY MEETS TODAY, Friday, February 15 at 12:00 noon, in the Stetson Room. A light
lunch will be served starting at 11:45 a.m. The topic for discussion is the budget. Please note that the March faculty
meeting has been canceled in consideration of the college and schools board meetings. The last faculty meeting of
the academic year will be:

THE FACULTY SENATE WILL HOLD A SPECIAL MEETING this Monday, February 18, in the Faculty Lounge of
the CUB. Dinner for senators and guests is at 6:00 p.m., with the meeting proper beginning at 6:45. Sole topic of
business is discussion of the proposed Honor Code. The Senate will meet with representatives of the Student

NOMINATIONS FOR HAND AWARDS ARE NOW BEING ACCEPTED. Faculty are invited to nominate their
colleagues for the Hand Faculty Awards, which should not be confused with the Hand Grants. Information on these
awards can be found elsewhere in The Newsletter as well as in the "Faculty Professional Development Opportunities"
handbook available through the Office of Academic Affairs or at http://www.stetson.edu/offices/academicaffairs/.
Nominations are due to the college/school/library dean/director by March 1, 2002.

have two Rotary scholars abroad: Courtney McLean in Scotland, and Brian Mistier in England. Application forms
