The Faculty Senate will meet Monday, January 12, 2004, in the Faculty Lounge in the Carlton Union Building.
Senators and invited guests meet for dinner at 6:00 p.m. The meeting begins at 6:45 p.m. and all faculty members
are encouraged to attend.

HAND GRANTS DEADLINE. Faculty applications for Hand Grants for Professional Development Projects and Hand
Grants for Course Enhancement are due to Department Chairs by January 19, 2004. The application can be found
in the "Faculty Professional Development Opportunities" handbook, which is available in hard copy from the Office
of Academic Affairs or electronically on the Academic Affairs web page (www.stetson.edu/offices/academicaffairs).
A total of six grants of $2,000 each are to be awarded. Department Chairs, please forward the applications and
your evaluations to the Office of Academic Affairs by Monday, February 2.
