UNIVERSITY FACULTY MEETING CANCELLED. After consulting with the Council of Deans and the Faculty
Senate Executive Committee about agenda items and decisions ready for faculty deliberation, Doug Lee has
decided to cancel the University faculty meeting scheduled for Friday, January 20.

APPLICATIONS FOR HAND GRANTS. Members of the faculty are encouraged to apply for 2006 Hand Grants.
Applications for Professional Development Projects and Hand Grants for Course Enhancement are due to
Department Chairs on January 23, 2006. The application is available electronically on the Academic Affairs web
page http://www.stetson.edu/academicaffairs/profdevel.php and in hard copy from the Office of Academic
Affairs. Traditionally, a total of six grants of $2,000 each are awarded.
