ANNOUNCEMENTS
THE UNIVERSITY FACULTY MEETS TODAY, Friday, April 5 at 12:00 noon, in the Stetson Room. A light lunch
will be served starting at 11:45 a.m. Topics for discussion include a WGS Course Proposal, "F" Forgiveness
Policy Proposal, and Honors Program Proposal. The last faculty meeting for the Academic Year will be held on
Friday, April 19, to discuss the Honor Code Proposal and Faculty Evaluations.

The Women's Council lunch is today, April 5,h, at noon in the Private Dining Room, for the first 40 women
(faculty, staff and students) who reserved seating. The topic is "Generational and other cultural differences
among women who work at Stetson." Please call Ximena Mejia at ext.7402 for further information.

ETTER McTEER TURNER AWARD. Faculty and staff are invited to offer nominations for the seventh annual Etter
McTeer Turner Award, which will recognize the graduating senior who has achieved the highest standard of
excellence in academic performance, leadership, community service, personal character, and integrity. The award
was initiated by the J. Ollie Edmunds family, through the Gualala Foundation, to honor the service of the late
Etter McTeer Turner, and provides a companion student award to the William Hugh McEniry Excellence in
Teaching Award, which also was established by Dr. Edmund's Foundation to recognize faculty members. A
committee, including faculty appointed by the Faculty Senate, will review all nominations and determine the
award recipient. Please provide as much background information as possible for each person who is nominated.
Nominations should be delivered to the Office of Academic Affairs, Unit 8358, by April 15. 2001. The winner will
