Reception for Retiring Faculty. The Office of Academic Affairs and the College of Arts & Sciences will co-host a
reception on Thursday, May 3, 2001, from 2:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m., to honor faculty retiring from full time
teaching. From: Jim Woodward, Chair, Council of Deans
Honors Convocation has been scheduled for Friday, April 27, 2001 at 12:00 noon in Elizabeth Hall. Department
Chairs and selected Program Directors are asked to submit information regarding the academic awards to the
Office of Academic Affairs by April 18. Those presenting the awards are responsible for the attendance of their

Undergraduate Scholarship And Performance Day, Monday, April 9th
Faculty, please be aware that scheduling was done to accommodate student class schedules as much as
possible, however please be forgiving of students who may have to leave class a few minutes early or who may
arrive at class a few minutes late. Talks will be running all day.
Also, Faculty - please encourage ALL your students to attend the talks being given by their peers. The
participating students are presenting work worthy of our support. It might be especially relevant to students
enrolled in methods- or research-type classes to see the finished products of the many student research projects
which have taken place on campus in the last year. A complete schedule of USAPD activities is attached

The Stetson Spring Blood Drive will be held Tuesday, April 17, from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. in the Stetson
Room of the Carlton Union Building. Your support of the Blood Drive is extremely important. Your friends,
neighbors, and family depend upon our donations for blood and blood products. Please donate and encourage

The Office of Human Resources is gathering information regarding faculty and staff to be honored at the Silver
Circle Dinner to be held on April 24, 2001. If you or someone you know of is planning to retire or is celebrating a
Stetson anniversary year (25th, 30th, 35th, etc.), please let our office know as soon as possible. You may
