BUDGET SUPERVISOR TRAINING. This week the Human Resources Office conducted six Budget Supervisor
Classes and we would like to thank all the people who attended these classes. The exchange of information was
outstanding and informative. We would like to offer a make-up class for Budget Supervisor Training. This one-time
class will be on Tuesday, March 7, from 9:30 -10:30 a.m. in the Lynn Business Center Board Room. Please make

ASH WEDNESDAY SERVICE: The Office of the Chaplain and the Catholic Campus Ministry invite members of the
campus community to the University's Ash Wednesday service on Wednesday, March 8, at 4:00 p.m. in Night
Lites. Chaplain Laura Walters Baskett and Father Chris Hoffman will be co-officiating. The service will include the

On Wednesday, March 8, Stetson University's Phi Beta Kappa Honorary Society will present a lecture by Emory
University's Andrew W. Mellon Professor of Politics and History, Dr. Harvey Klehr, entitled "Revisiting McCarthy:
New Revelations on Soviet Espionage in America." Dr. Klehr will speak about recently uncovered archives in the
former Soviet Union's infamous KGB indicating that Soviet spying operations in the United States were much more
extensive than hitherto imagined. In Dr. Klehr's words, "Joe McCarthy actually had it right, but for all the wrong
reasons." The University community and the general public are invited to hear Dr. Klehr's talk, free of charge,
Wednesday, March 8, in the Media Center of the duPont-Ball Library, Room 25 of the Instructional Media Center,
at 7:00 p.m. Please inform students. Cultural credit approved.

Bill Dreggors (aka Mr. DeLand) will be on campus Wednesday, March 8, from 7:30 - 9:00 p.m., in Elizabeth Hall
Chapel to spin his historical accounts and memories of DeLand and Stetson University. Mr. Dreggors, a life-long
resident of DeLand, will entertain and provide vivid accounts of the early developmental years of the community.
College of Arts and Sciences cultural credit applies. Admission is free and open to the public. This event is
