UNIVERSITY FACULTY MEETING. The next University Faculty Meeting is Monday, March 21, in Rinker Auditorium
at 10:00 a.m. President Lee will present the proposed budget. A reminder that I have scheduled an additional
faculty meeting for Monday, March 28, at 10:00 a.m. in Rinker Auditorium, when I will present a proposed revision
of the University Bylaws with the establishment of an Academic Affairs Committee on the Board of Trustees.

On Monday, March 21, 1994, Professor Ken McCoy will be on campus interviewing for the Theatre position of
Acting and Directing. His research specialty is Latin American Theatre. He will be available for anyone interested

NOTED WOMAN SCHOLAR TO LECTURE. Please announce to your classes that Dr. Alice Kessler-Harris will lecture
on "Designing Women...and Social Security" on Thursday, March 24, at 7:30 p.m. in Elizabeth Hall Auditorium.
Sponsored by the Women and Gender Studies program and the Artists and Lecturers Committee, this lecture is
part of the focus on women during March, the month designed by Congress-and by Stetson-as Women's History
Month.
Kessler-Harris, Professor of History and Director of Women's Studies at Rutgers University, is the author of eight
books including A Woman's Wage: Meanings and Social Consequences (1990) and Out to Work: A History of
Waae-Earninq Women in the United States. She is particularly interested in how societal attitudes toward women
get inscribed in laws.
Persons who want to meet Kessler-Harris may do so at a reception in Elizabeth Hall after her lecture.
