ACADEMIC HONORS CONVOCATION is today, April 27, at 12:00 noon in Elizabeth Hall Auditiorium. Those

Reception for Retiring Faculty. The Office of Academic Affairs and the College of Arts & Sciences will co-host a
reception in the Faculty Lounge on Thursday, May 3, 2001, from 2:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m., to honor faculty
members Gareth Williams and Gary Maris, who are retiring from full time teaching.

The Faculty Senate will meet for the final time in the 2000-2001 academic year on Monday, May 7 at 6:45 p.m.
in the Faculty Lounge. All faculty are invited to attend. Current and newly elected Senators are invited to a sit-

BACCALAUREATE. The Baccalaureate Service will be held on Saturday, May 12, at 10:00 a.m., in Elizabeth Hall
Chapel. Selected faculty will form at 9:30 a.m. in the hallway of Elizabeth Hall. The Sermon will be delivered by
Dr. Laura Walters Baskett, University Chaplain.
COMMENCEMENT. Commencement Exercises will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the Edmunds Center. The line of march
will form at 1:00 p.m. in front of the Lambda Chi Alpha House on Fraternity Row. Full academic regalia is
requested. The line will move at 1:15 p.m. in order to be seated by 1:30 p.m. In case of rain, the line will form in
the hallway on the first floor, west side of the Edmunds Center.
