COMMENCEMENT-- Edmunds Center

All Grades Due to Registrar
BACCALAUREATE. The Baccalaureate Service will be held on Sunday, May 9, at 10:00 a.m., in Elizabeth Hall
Chapel. Selected faculty (see attached) will form at 9:30 a.m. in the hallway of Elizabeth Hall. The Sermon will
be delivered by Dr. Laura Walters Baskett, University Chaplain. Brunch will be served immediately following the
service in the Stetson Room for parents, students, and faculty.
COMMENCEMENT. Commencement Exercises will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the Edmunds Center. The line of march
will form at 12:45 p.m. in front of the Lambda Chi Alpha House on Fraternity Row. Full academic regalia is
requested. The line will move at 1:10 p.m. in order to be seated by 1:30 p.m. In case of rain, the line will form
in the hallway on the first floor, west side of the Edmunds Center.
PRESIDENT'S RECEPTION. The President and Mrs. Lee cordially invite all faculty to attend the President's
Reception for graduates and their parents on Saturday, May 8, from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. in the r|||(|||!i|||ii.

The Faculty Senate would like to welcome its new senators: Mike Bitter (Business School); Michael Branton (A
& S At-Large); Boyd Jones (Music School); Neal Long (A&S Social Sciences fall sabbatical replacement); Gary
Maris (University At-Large). Thank you to all faculty members who agreed to serve if elected. Also, the Senate
thanks our outgoing senators for their hard work on the Senate: Bill Andrews (Business School); Diana Mankin
(University At-Large); Bob Sitler (A&S At-Large); Moffatt Williams (Music School).
The Faculty Senate officers for 1999-2000 are: Diane Everett, Chair; Michael Branton, Vice-Chair; Debbi Dinkins,
Secretary/Treasurer. The Senate Executive Committee will be made up of the Senate officers and Larry Belcher
(Business School), Jean West (Music School), and Nancy Vosburg (A&S Humanities).
