ANNOUNCEMENTS
The West Volusia Holocaust Memorial Council and Stetson University will conduct the Third Annual Holocaust
Memorial Service on Sunday, April 26, at 7:30 p.m. in the Elizabeth Hall Auditorium. Faculty, staff, students
as well as the public are cordially invited to attend this most moving service.

FACULTY MEETING, Monday, April 27, 10:00 a.m., Rinker Auditorium. Jim Beasley, Vice President and Dean
of Campus Life, will report on the progress he and his staff have made during this academic year in response
to the recommendations of the Task Force on the Quality of Student Life, and to the concerns of students
expressed in various surveys administered over the last two years. From: Provost Lou Brakeman
Stetson University will be holding its Annual Recognition Dinner honoring: (1) retiring faculty and staff, and (2)
Silver Circle members (Stetson employees who have worked 25 years, 30 years, 35 years, or 40 years) on
Tuesday, May 5. If you are retiring and/or are one of the Silver Circle honorees and have not received a special
invitation to this event, please contact Jackie Hays, ext. 7250, in the President's Office, as soon as possible.

you think you filled out either of the following, please call me as soon as possible: (1) in pencil with 1st choice,
Artist and Lecturers; 2nd choice, Winter Term; 3rd choice, Sexual Harassment Grievance Council; 4th choice,
Campus Life, and (2) in pen with 1st choice, Artists and Lecturers; 2nd choice, Hollis Leadership Council (no
other choices listed).
All faculty should have received a University Committee Preference Questionnaire and a ballot for the University
At-Large Faculty Senate seat. If you have not received either of the above, call me as soon as possible.

SUPERVISORS OF STUDENT EMPLOYEES: This week you will be receiving from Antonie Keyes-Colemen,
Student Employment Coordinator in the Office of Student Financial Planning, request forms for student position
assignments for the 1992-93 year. We encourage your careful and timely participation in this annual process.
Analysis of total hours being worked within the overall student work programs indicate that a more efficient
utilization of University funding can be achieved by a reallocation of $100,000 of student employment funds to
academic scholarships in the new budget. This simply re-emphasizes the judicious care which we need to
exercise in both requesting and administering student employment assignments. Thank you.
