ANNOUNCEMENTS
The Faculty Senate will meet Monday, March 7, 1994. Dinner will be at 6:00 p.m. in the Private Dining Room of
the Carlton Union Building. The meeting will follow at 6:45 p.m. in the Faculty Lounge. Dinner and the meeting
are open to all faculty. Anyone wishing to make a reservation for the dinner should call Jane Bradford, ext. 7175
or 7190, before noon on Monday (cost $4.50).
The Provost and the President will be the Senate's guests. The Provost will address faculty salaries, Bylaw
revisions, and the Articulation Agreement with Valencia Community College. The President will speak on the

The Yale Russian Chorus will give a concert at Stetson on Wednesday, March 9, at 8:00 p.m. in Elizabeth Hall.
The chorus is internationally known; it has performed in the Kremlin, at Carnegie Hall, in command performance
for Mikhail Gorbachev in Washington, D.C., and has twice appeared on Garrison Keillor's A Prairie Home
Companion, in addition to many other concerts throughout the world. The chorus will perform music from Russia
and other areas of the former Soviet Union. The concert is free and open to the public.

REMINDER-APPLIED ETHICS-ACROSS-THE-CURRICULUM WORKSHOP. Interested faculty members from across
the university are invited to apply for this summer workshop to be held May 23-June 3, designed to help them
prepare for creating and teaching courses in their discipline from an applied ethics perspective. This is an applied
ethics program--a background of ethics is npjt required. The workshop carries with it a $1,000 stipend which will
be awarded to each participant. To apply send a memo to Michael McFarland, Box 8375, by March 1. Include
a short statement that addresses your reasons for wanting to attend the workshop. For more information, call ext.
