ANNOUNCEMENTS
MARTIN LUTHER KING'S BIRTHDAY. There will be a breakfast at 8:00 a.«. on Monday,
January 15, to celebrate Martin Luther King's birthday. The breakfast will be held in
the Stetson Rooa of the Carlton Union Building. The breakfast will be accompanied by
speeches and entertainment. At approximately 9:30 a.m., a parade will proceed from
Stetson down Woodland Boulevard to the steps of the City Hall, for a rally in King's
honor. In addition, there will be a program at 8:00 p.m. in Elizabeth Hall to climax
the Martin Luther King Day celebration. This program will be sponsored by the Office
of Minority Student Affairs in conjunction with the United Minority Caucus. The
campus community is encouraged to stop by the Library to view the display showcase on
the life of Dr. Martin Luther King—this display will run from January 12-19, 1990.

FACULTY. Are you aware of Black, Hispanic and/or Native American students interested
in pursuing a career as Business School faculty? The GMAC-AACSB Minority Summer
Institute is a six-week academic program held at the University of Michigan at Ann
Arbor, structured to introduce students to the variety of responsibilities in the
field. The program will be held June 10-July 20, 1990. All related expenses will be
paid. Students will receive a $2,500 stipend and will be granted six (6) credit hours
from the University of Michigan. Interested students should apply by contacting the
Graduate Management Admissions Council, 11601 Wilshire Boulevard, Suite 760, Los
Angeles, California 90025. Application deadline is February 1, 1990.
