ANNOUNCEMENTS
The January meeting of the 1989-90 Faculty Senate will be held on Monday, January 8,
at 6:45 p.m. in the Private Dining Room. The meeting should be brief. Dinner will be
available at 6:00 p.m. for $4.50. All those who would like a dinner reservation
should call Mitchell Reddish at ext. 547 by noon Monday.

Nominations of students by faculty and staff for inclusion in the 1989-90 edition of
Who's Who Among College and University Students are invited. The students should be
seniors with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 and some indication of
unusual service to the University. Nominations may be submitted in writing to
Director of Student Life, Amy Tamberrino, Campus Box 8338, no later than Friday,

Just a reminder that the Counseling Center Luncheon will resume on January 10, 1990.
Once again we would like to begin promptly at 11:45 a.m. so that we can break in time
for Winter Term classes that begin at 1:15 p.m. Please try to remember to cancel or

The Hollis Leadership Development Program (HLDP) is soliciting proposals from the
faculty for funding projects related to leadership development on campus or in our
community. Projects can cover a broad range of activities both on and off campus such
as simulations, publications, competitions, research, local community support,
speakers, field trips, etc. The primary expectation is that such a project will
stimulate leadership development for the faculty, students or community. The $3,500
available will be distributed after review by the Council. Proposals should be in the
form of a letter indicating: a description of and people involved with the proposal,
costs or budget details, intended outcomes or objectives and a time schedule. Monies
must be spent by May 31. Letters should be sent to Peter Heine, Campus Box 8398 by
