TENURE AND PROMOTION POLICY REVISION TASK FORCE RECOMMENDATION. At the March meeting of the
Faculty Senate, the following motion was passed: "The Faculty Senate endorses the recommendation of the Tenure and
Promotion Policy Revision Task Force that decoupling be eliminated and that the standards for tenure and for promotion
to associate professor be identical, but recommends that the Provost delay the implementation of decoupling of promotion
and tenure until adjustments can be made that are sufficient to clarify the specification and implementation of the
guidelines for promotion and tenure."
