ANNOUNCEMENTS
The February meeting of the 1989-90 Faculty Senate will be held on Monday, February
12, at 6:45 p.m. in the Private Dining Room. Steve Burley, Director of Personnel, and
Rob Bryant, Stetson's plan representative for TIAA, will give a short presentation on
faculty benefits and retirement options and then will respond to concerns of senators
and guests. The following recommendations will be brought to the Senate:
(1) academic credit in Winter Term (Educational Policies);
(2) Leadership course proposal for Fall 1990 (Academic Affairs); and
(3) weekly class schedule (ad hoc committee).
Dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m. for $4.50. All those who would like a dinner
reservation should call Mitchell Reddish, ext. 8932 by noon on Monday.

LIBRARY ACCESS POLICY: New access policies and procedures have been implemented for
the duPont-Ball Library. Please note the attachment to this issue of This Week.
Visitors to the campus, including guests of University faculty and staff, who wish to
see the Library are not required to obtain an Access Card. The new policy applies to
those who wish to use our reference, periodical, and book collections we well as our
computer and microform equipment. Our federal and state government documents
collections continue to be open without cost or restriction to all persons. For
University faculty, staff, students, and their dependents using the Library, we ask
