ANNOUNCEMENTS
The February-March issue of the Calendar of Events, distributed to
8,000 alumni and friends of Stetson in the 8-county area, is currently
in preparation. Please send information on concerts, sports, and other
events open to the public, to Helena Nyerges in the Public Relations
Office, Box 8319, as soon as possible. From: Public Relations
ADJUSTED TRAVEL RATES: Effective January 1, 1984, reimbursement for the
approved use of personal vehicles to provide transportation for University business is allowed at a rate of 20C per mile.

The Philadelphia Stars are returning to the campus on January 16, 1984.
They will be using the Student Dressing Room, and it is essential that
Faculty and Staff having locks and lockers in this room remove
their material by the 16th or it will be lost. From: Ted Earl,

New Faculty 1981 - 1983 Your Presence Is Requested:
On Wednesday, January 18, at 4:00 p.m. in the private dining room of
the Carlton Union Building, the Committee on Advising in conjunction
with the Professional Development Committee will present a workshop
for all new faculty members. It is important that you make every effort
to attend. The program, "The Nuts and Bolts of Academic Advising at
Stetson," will include comments by the three academic deans, the
Registrar, the Dean of Students, and members of the counseling center
and admissions staff. It will be chaired by Dr. C. D. Cochran. The
session will be followed by discussion and dinner at 6:00 p.m. For
reservations, please call ext. 230 or 240 or send word to Dr. James

Winter Term books will be removed from the Bookstore shelves beginning
January 20th. Please urge your students to purchase all Winter Term
