There will be a special meeting of the Faculty Senate on Monday, April 4, at 6:45 p.m.
in the Private Dining Room of the Carlton Union Building. All members of the faculty
are invited to attend the meeting, which will be devoted to the discussion of only one
topic: the Educational Policies Committee's proposal for the calendar. Dr. Carter
Colwell, chair of the Committee, is inviting comments from the faculty before the

Budget supervisors should keep in mind that 1987-88 budget requisitions are to be
fully completed and in the Purchasing Department by the close of business on Friday,
April 8. This will make necessary the obtaining of any appropriate approvals prior to
that time. In the unusual circumstance of any related necessary budget transfers to
fund an order, such documentation must be fully approved and in the office of the
Comptroller by Monday, April 4. Thank you for not requesting any exceptions, in order

If you need academic regalia for May Graduation, please stop by the Bookstore before

SUPER TUESDAY and the Florida Presidential preference primary has passed. However,
other election year activity will be mounted again. You will wish to keep in mind
that the Federal income tax code strictly prohibits any direct political activity by

All faculty and staff are invited to the performance of "A Tea with Zora and Marjorie"
at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 4, in the Stetson Room. This play celebrates the
friendship between two Florida writers, Zora Neale Hurston of Eatonville and Marjorie
KInnan Rawlings of Cross Creek. Admission is free. There will be a reception
afterward in the Faculty Lounge. Dr. Ann Morris.
