REMINDER--On Thursday. March 25. Dr. Klaus-Michael Bogdal of the Paedogogische Hochschule in Freiburg,
Germany, will present a lecture entitled "Rostock and the Consequences: Neo-Nazism and Xenophobia in
Germany." Dr. Bogdal is a Professor of German at the PH and his article "Pedagogy of the Lean Years" dealing
with the role of contemporary authors and the education system in combating right-extremism was recently
published in the Frankfurter Rundschau. The lecture will take place at 4:00 p.m. in the John E. Johns Room,
Elizabeth Hall, and will be followed by a question-and-answer session. From: David Dysart
TWO-SEMESTER CALENDAR COMMITTEE. The Committee, authorized by the University Faculty at the meeting
of February 22, consists of Chuck McKnight, Jud Stryker, Kevin Riggs, Karen Kaivola, Gayle Littleton, Ron
Piccolo, and Lou Brakeman, Chair. The Committee has met twice and will meet again on March 26. A report

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THE POTENTIAL OF "TRUE COLOR" COMPUTER PROJECTION PANELS, you will
want to see the demonstration Thursday, March 25, at 3:00 p.m. in Room 5L. Proxima and InFocus models will

REMINDER-FACULTY SUMMER WORKSHOP. Faculty are invited to apply to participate in a two-week writing-
across-the-curriculum/faculty development workshop. To be held from May 24 to June 4, the 10-day workshop
will focus on developing practical teaching strategies and assignments that enhance teaching, learning, and
writing in all disciplines. Faculty teaching during the summer session or with summer research grants are
encouraged to apply. A $1,000 stipend will be awarded to the 14 participants. Interested faculty should apply
bv April 2 to Mike Raymond (Campus Box 8306, extension 7730) by submitting their name, department, and

REMINDER-LEARN TO PLAY BRIDGE. Or brush up on bidding fundamentals. Basic bidding taught by American
Contract Bridge League Certified Teacher. Classes on Wednesday evenings in the Carlton Union Building from
7:00 - 9:00 p.m. will start as soon as 12 persons express interest. Undergraduates FREE if at least eight
