ANNOUNCEMENTS
The next meeting of the Stetson Faculty Senate will be held at 6:45 p.m. on Monday,
February 13, in the Private Dining Room of the Carlton Union Building. It will be
preceded by an optional dinner at 6:00 p.m. Those planning to dine should purchase a
meal in the Commons and bring their trays up to the Private Dining Room. Included on
the agenda: (1) an extensive report by the Insurance and Annuity Committee, and (2) a
report on the possible revision of the daily class schedule. Everyone in the academic
community is invited to attend.

All students, faculty, staff, and friends are invited to attend the Fifteenth Annual
Poetry Symposium on Tuesday, February 14. This year Howard Nemerov, poet laureate of
the United States, will speak at 8:00 p.m. on that date in Elizabeth Hall. Following
the talk will be a reception in the Faculty Lounge. The event is co-sponsored by the
Artists and Lecturers Committee and the English Department.

REMINDER: The annual meeting of the membership of the Stetson University Credit Union
will be held on Tuesday, February 14, at noon in the Stetson Room of the Carlton Union
Building. Lunch will be provided. The business of the Credit Union will include
reports from the Board of Directors, Supervisory Committee, Credit Committee, and the
Nominating Committee, in addition to matters which any member may wish to present.
