REMINDER: The Women's Faculty Caucus will meet at 11:00 a.m. on January 20, in 117F.

Stover Theatre, in conjunction with the Winter Term Committee and the Multicultural
Education Institute, presents Jim Leonard's award winning play, The Diviners. This
marvelously theatrical play tells the story of an emotionally disturbed young man and his
friendship with a disenchanted preacher. The Diviners is directed by Dr. Kenn Stilson and
stars Guest Artist, LeRoy Mitchell, Jr. Some of Mitchell's recent professional credits
include: Hoke in Driving Miss Daisy; Mr. Mushnik in Little Shop of Horrors; Sam in Master Harold
and the Boys; Lucien in The Boys Next Door; and Ken in Ain't Misbehav'n. Performances take
place January 23, 24, 25, and 26 at 3:00 p.m. in the outdoor theatre (The Pit) located
at the east end of the Edmunds Center. Stover Box Office is open Monday through Saturday

SAM R. MARKS PRIZE IN RELIGION. Competition for the Sam R. Marks Prize in Religion, is
open to students who have completed at least six hours in Religion. Please encourage
students who may qualify to enter the competition. This contest is sponsored by the late
Mr. Sam R. Marks to encourage serious study of the Bible. A $750 award is given for the
best paper in biblical research. The rules are as follows:
-student must have completed at least six hours in Religion.
-application forms are available in the Department of Religion, Allen Hall.
-the applicant should apply for entry in the competition and propose a topic by
February 23, 1992.
-The completed paper should be submitted to the Department of Religion office by
April 10, 1992. before 4:30 p.m.

The Collegial Seminar needs some more material for the Spring semester series. Faculty
members are challenged to offer to explain their current scholarly activity (research,
article, speculative thought, etc.) to colleagues in other disciplines. Please indicate
your readiness to do this by a call to the Department of History (ext. 7535) or by a note
