ANNOUNCEMENTS
REMINDER: Deborah Miller, editor and producer of This Week, is
recovering from injuries sustained in a serious automobile accident.
She is at home, but receiving out-patient treatment at Fish Memorial
Hospital daily. We hope she will be back soon.
The editor of this weeks edition is Ms. Marjorie Ross. She is assisting
the Provost for awhile. We welcome Ms. Ross to Stetson.
PURCHASE ORDERS: Please keep in mind that as the fiscal and academic
year draws to a close processing of purchase orders chargeable
against the closing fiscal year will need to begin shortly. Please
arrange to have your requisitions approved and in the hands of
Purchasing Agent, Everette Johnson, by the close of business on
Friday, April 6. Thank you for your assistance in meeting this

Professor Neill Megaw of the University of Texas will be lecturing
at Stetson University on March 13 at 8:00 p.m. in the Stetson Room.
His subject is "The Changing Room: A Liberal Education for
Tomorrow." The following day, Professor Megaw will conduct a
workshop on teaching techniques and curriculum.
Professor Megaw's visit is sponsored both by Phi Beta Kappa and by
\he Professional Development Committee. His lecture is open to

Appropriations in the 1983-84 budget for capital and equipment items
are now released and requisitions may be processed. Budget supervisors
are encouraged to proceed with these purchases promptly. Please
keep in mind that all 1983-84 budget requisitions are to be in process
by April 6. Any futher necessary budget transfers or revisions for this
year should be presented now for consideration by appropriate deans
and other budget supervisors, so that approval might be in place
