The Faculty Senate will meet on Monday, January 11, at 6:45 p.m. in the Private Dining
Room of the Carlton Union Building. All faculty members are invited to attend.

The American Red Cross will be conducting a blood drive on campus Wednesday, January
13, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The collection center will be located in front of
the Carlton Union Building in a Red Cross Bloodmobile. The university supports the
blood drive by granting release time to employees to enable them to donate blood.

The Counseling Center Luncheon will meet at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesdays during the Winter
Term. We are still using the same list, so if you are unable to make the luncheons,

The College of Law is pleased to announce that its Registrar, Ina Kay Davis, gave
birth to a baby boy, Gregory Allen Fredrick Davis, on Monday, November 23. The baby
weighed 8 lbs. 8 1/2 ozs. and was 21 inches in length. We extend our best wishes to
Ina Kay and her husband, Gregory, on their new addition!

A sub-committee of the Faculty Senate is currently revising the Faculty Handbook. If
you have any suggestions or concerns, please contact Ned Lovell, Harry Garber, or

The next meeting of the Secretaries/Clerical Staff is Tuesday, January 12, at noon in
the coffee house. PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF LOCATION. Mr. Steve Burley, Director of
Personnel, will be present to answer questions on job classifications/job
descriptions, evaluation forms, and much more! Bring a brown bag or carry-up lunch.
