Currie Burris, Southern Regional Director of Amnesty International will
discuss Amnesty International's work for international human rights,
January 31 from 10:20 to 10:50 a.m. in the Stetson Room, CUB. In 1977
Amnesty International was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for its work for
human rights, especially its campaign against torture. Mr. Burris
earned his A.B. degree at Florida State University and his Master of
Divinity degree at Union Theological Seminary. Please urge your students
to attend this short session about the efforts being undertaken to free
prisoners of conscience throughout the world. From: Gary L. Maris
A flu epidemic on campus is affecting a large number of students resulting in class absences. From: Janice Hess, Health Services
The following students will be participating in a Forensics Tournament
at the University of North Carolina-Wilmington and will be departing
on January 19 and returning on January 23: Craig Putnal, Susan Dye,
