A MAGAZINE GIVEAWAY will be held on Wednesday, March 11, all day (8:45
a.m. - 4:30 p.m.) on the lawn near Holler Fountain. Campus community
gets first choice (public invited after 12:00 p.m.) of these gems. All
our accumulated gifts, orphans, extras, etc. must go. Take a bag or a

Professor Melvin Kranzberg will be speaking on Thursday, March 12, in
the Stetson Room at 7:00 p.m. Professor Kranzberg is part of the Phi
Beta Kappa lecture program. He is noted for the establishment and development of a new field of history—the history of technology. He has
written books on European history, technology in western civilization,
technology and culture, energy and the way we live, and ethics in an
age of pervasive technology. Please announce Professor Kranzberg's

Please announce to your classes that the deadline for entering this
year's Taylor Prize Competition is Friday, March 13. First prize will
be $350; second prize $100; third prize $50. Any student interested in
participating should contact one of the Taylor Prize Committee members:

held Friday, April 24, at 7:00 p.m. in the Stetson Room. Please reserve this date on your calendar to join his many friends who will
